Wind River Range: Cirque of the Towers

The Wind River Range is located East of Jackson with multiple entrances into the giant maze of granite peaks and valleys filled with lakes and streams. With only two days to get in and out we only had one real option, as the majority of the backpacking takes at least four days.

Our only real option was to hike to the Cirque of the Towers and out. There is a collection of people who come out this way; some for fishing, some for climbing, some for exploration but we all are getting away into a secluded area that not many will ever get to see.

It is an amazing area to see for yourself, and with only a 10 mile hike in, it is doable for even the less-than-motivated backpacker like myself.
